The point here is that there seems to be a general lack of meta-cognition and/or meta-awareness. The idea proposed here is to ask what is the thinking (or not) when we are at a perilous time considering the destiny of humans on this planet? For what possible reason would states such as Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, California, Nevada, and Wyoming not consider requiring all new building efforts to explain why any given shelter structure should NOT have solar adaptation and a goal of net-zero energy consumption? It is a serious question that I am asking. Where and when do we begin to understand that it is for us (humans) to understand that we are similar to the frog sitting in the water with the burner turned on high bringing the water to boiling.
